Green energy
Bamboo can be used to generate bioenergy, which saves on fossil fuels. It has a similar calorific value to wood. Because bamboo grows again immediately, there is therefore no deforestation and it absorbs more CO2 than is released with combustion, bamboo is an inexhaustible source of renewable sustainable energy.
Fast grower
Bamboo is mature after 5 years. A plant can be harvested for 40 years. Bamboo needs very little, it can live on water that cannot be used for other crops. Bamboo can be compared to residual wood. The more we prune, the more space we make for new shoots. The farmers benefit from a higher yield.
